Our much loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passedaway peacefully April 3, 2009 in Riverton, Utah at the home of herdaughter after a prolonged illness. She was born January 17, 1928 toLorene and William A. Haslam in Salt Lake City, Utah where sheresided all of her life. Married her high school sweetheart, KennethLavin in the Salt Lake LDS temple on May 27, 1949. They spent 55happy years together until the time of his death in 2004. They werethe proud parents of four children. Mom was a faithful member of theLDS church, who held many callings in her ward including ReliefSociety President. She also served for many years, with her husband,in the branch presidency of the Doxey Hatch Convalescent Center.

Mom loved life and will always be remembered for her kind andgentle nature and her appreciation for all of God's creations. Shewas the tireless caregiver for her daughter and husband for manyyears, always putting their needs before her own. Many were theappreciative recipients of her kind acts of love and compassion.Mom's greatest joy was spending time with her family on campingtrips, vacations to Disneyland and the annual family Christmas partyat her house. Her house was a showplace that was always immaculate.She had a special talent for decorating and making her home cozy andinviting.

Mom had a beautiful alto voice which was recognized at the age offour when she began singing on the radio. Her passion was to somedaysing with the Tabernacle Choir but circumstances did not permit herdream to be realized. She sang in the Winder 10th ward choir formany years. She had the ability to play the piano by ear and couldsit down and play any tune by request.

She will be greatly missed by all who loved her dearly.

Beverly is survived by sons Bob (Jo) Lavin, Randy (Leslie) Lavin,and daughter Suzanne (Tom) Hofhine, 11 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren and her precious Yorkie Day-zee. She was preceded indeath by her parents, husband, daughter Lisa, brother Myron, andtriplet granddaughters.

The family expresses a special heartfelt appreciation to all whocared for mom in her last days including her loving daughter Suzanneand the compassionate Hospice caregivers, Dina, Mike and Rebecca ofRocky Mountain Health Care who ensured her best possible quality oflife.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 12:00p.m. at the Winder 8th Ward, located at 1361 East 4000 South.Visitation 10:00-11:45 a.m. at the church.
